MOAA hosted a webinar Aug. 7 to inform members and others about the features of MOAA’s Active Service Discharge Group Term Life Insurance Plan -- a plan that allows those leaving active service to purchase insurance without going through the medical underwriting process.

Most insurance plans in the general market require medical exams, and Veterans' Group Life Insurance (VGLI) can be expensive. But Replacing your Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI), which ends after leaving the service, doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming: You are guaranteed acceptance into the Active Service Discharge Group Term Life Insurance Plan if you enroll within 180 days after leaving active service (as long as your discharge is not health or disability related).

You can watch the webinar below for more details:

The Active Service Discharge Group Term Life Insurance Plan can provide peace of mind during a transition period that sometimes can be overwhelming. Thanks to MOAA, you now have an easy, affordable and GUARANTEED ACCEPTANCE option. Learn more about this program here

MOAA Insurance Plans require a MOAA membership in good standing and residence in the U.S. Learn more about MOAA Insurance Plans here.
