Cybercrimes such as hacking and ransomware attacks already cost the world about $8 trillion annually ... and they are on the rise, with servicemembers, veterans, and their families often prime targets.

Despite these threats to public safety, the Government Accountability Office says the U.S. is less prepared to fight cybercrime than it could be. It's up to consumers to know how to avoid scammers and keep their data protected.

Join Lila Quintiliani, MOAA’s program director for financial and benefits education/counseling, and special guest Ally Armeson, executive director of programs at the Cybercrime Support Network, for a webinar that will explore what cybercrime is and how it affects the military and veteran community.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • Top scams that affect servicemembers, veterans, and their families
  • The impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on scams
  • What to do immediately if you believe you've been scammed
  • Steps you can take to build a foundation of security
  • How to spot – and guard against – a phishing attempt

MOAA is a partner in the Cybercrime Support Network's Military and Veteran Program, which aims to protect servicemembers, veterans, and military families from falling victim to fraud. Register today for this webinar and better understand how to keep your personal data, and your finances, safe from scammers.
