Maj. Gen. Stephen W. Oliver Jr., USAF (Ret)

Maj. Gen. Stephen W. Oliver Jr., USAF (Ret), was commissioned into the Air Force following his graduation from Clarkson University in 1989. He is a Master Navigator with more than 3,100 flying hours in Air Force KC-135 and C-130 aircraft, including 186 combat flight hours.

 

He earned a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a master’s in organizational management from the George Washington University. He served as Wing Commander, 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing; Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force; and Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs.

 

He has extensive experience in organizational strategy, planning, policy, logistics, human capital/talent management, and leader development.  Following his retirement in 2021, he joined the RAND Corporation as an Adjunct International and Defense Policy Researcher.
