Adm. James G. Foggo, USN (Ret)

Adm. James G. Foggo, USN (Ret), graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1981. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University and a Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies in Defense and Strategic Studies in Strasbourg, France.

 

Over the course of his career, he served in a number of key command positions, including Submarine Squadron SIX, Submarine Group EIGHT, the U.S. 6th Fleet, Allied Striking and Support Forces NATO, commander of Naval Forces Europe, Naval Forces Africa, and Allied Joint Forces Command (NATO).

 

Following his retirement from the Navy, he became Dean of the Center for Maritime Strategy at the Navy League, a member of the board of directors of the Olmsted Foundation and the Naval Historical Foundation, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Academy of Diplomacy.
