Mission

The mission of the Chapter shall be to promote the purposes and objectives of the Military Officers Association of America; foster fraternal relations among retired, active and former members of the uniformed services and their National Guard or Reserve components; protect the rights and interests of active duty, retired, Reserve and National Guard personnel of the uniformed services and their dependents and survivors; foster fraternal relations with the public; provide useful services for members and their dependents and survivors; support educational and charitable causes; and serve the community and the nation as selected by the Military Officers Association of Southwest Florida, Inc.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in the MOA Southwest Florida Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or Space Force.

Chapter Activities

The MOA Southwest Chapter holds 12 Board meetings a year. Normally, there is monthly events from September - May featuring guest speakers on topics relevant to the members. There are three special events yearly: 1) A Holiday dinner focusing on charity. 2) Military Gala (usually held in February). 3) JROTC Dinner Awards Banquet highlighting top JROTC Cadets from each school with parents and staff.

Legislative Issues

The MOA Southwest Florida Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and we invite our Congressional Representatives and Senators to speak to the chapter.

General Information

MOA Southwest Florida Chapter meetings are dinner meetings usually held during the 3rd week of each month beginning at 1700 hours. Locations vary and are announced in the chapter newsletter as well as on the website.

About Our Chapter

The MOA Southwest Chapter has been in existence for over 50 years. Due to COVID-19, no monthly meetings are scheduled; however, hopefully soon! The chapter publishes a quarterly newsletter, "News, News, and News"! The chapter currently has 100 members made up of currently serving, former, and retired officers and their survivors.
