Mission

The mission of OEMOAA is to benefit the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members. Our objectives are to: Educate our members and the public, to help promote and support our great nation and its constitution, Aid active and retired service members and their dependents and survivors and to Inform representatives in local, state and the federal governments when legislation of military interest are under consideration.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in OEMOAA is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Space Force and their surviving spouses. In addition, membership application forms can be found on the Chapter’s website, oemoaa.org. Also, we maintain the Ozark Empire Chapter page on Facebook, which is accessible to any Facebook user.

Chapter Activities

OEMOAA actively supports the ROTC programs at Missouri State University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, as well as the Bobcat Gold program at College of the Ozarks. OEMOAA also supports at least 13 JROTC programs throughout the Ozarks, as well as the Military Veterans Home in Mount Vernon, Missouri. Several special social and informational activities are scheduled throughout the year to promote camaraderie and community involvement.

Legislative Issues

Our chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and we annually invite our Congressional Representative and Senators to speak to the chapter. The chapter is also active in supporting the state council in various state veterans' issues.

General Information

OEMOAA meetings are held at American Legion Post 639, 2660 S Scenic Ave, Springfield, MO 65807. Meetings are held at noon, on the third Friday of the month, with exception of July and August. Meetings begin with a social hour at 1100, followed by a meal at 1200, and a speaker presentation at 1230. About Our Chapter

The Ozark Empire Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (OEMOAA) was founded in 1967. Our members include all branches of the armed services and their spouses. We meet regularly to promote our chapter's mission and objectives and to foster fraternal relations among our members.
