Membership in the MOAA Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. All MOAA members living in the Fredericksburg, Stafford, Quantico and Dumfries areas are welcome to join. The Heritage Chapter holds 10 monthly meetings each year that normally include dinner and a guest speaker. A special Christmas party is held in December, usually shared with another MOAA Chapter. We are active participants in Virginia and National MOAA events such as Stormin' the Hill, The Chapter awards two $1000 scholarships to JROTC members in high schools located in our area. We support the activities of "The Blue Star Mothers" and participate in the Honor Flight Program at the Muesum of the U.S. Marine Corps at Quantico. Our Heritage Chapter meetings are also dinner meetings and are normally held on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 1830 hours. However, the monthly schedule may vary due to venue and speaker availability and are announced in the chapter newsletter and at chapter meetings. Please RSVP by Sunday prior to each event to attend. The Heritage Chapter was chartered in 2007.
