Associate Director, Compensation and Legislation


James Naughton joined the Military Officers Association of America in 2006 after graduating from Christopher Newport University in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. He also studied corporate finance at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently enrolled in the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Naughton supports MOAA's mission by focusing on survivors issues and military compensation. Additionally, he plays a key role in legislative research and analysis for MOAA's Government Relations team. Naughton serves as the Corporate Secretary of The Military Coalition.

He has held positions as a member service representative, associate director of the member service center, and now serves as associate director of compensation and legislation for the advocacy team.
