As MOAA's Vice President, Council/Chapter and Member Support, Capt. Jim Carman, USN (Ret), is responsible for planning and executing member support functions to include oversight of MOAA’s 400 geographic and virtual councils, chapters, and satellite affiliates; operation of MOAA’s Member Service Center; planning and execution of MOAA’s career transition support services, finance and benefits education programs, caregiver support program, surviving spouse engagement program, and annual membership events; and works with the General Counsel to support MOAA’s national board of directors.
He also conducts career transition and benefits education facilitations and council and chapter visitations in support of MOAA’s advocacy, leadership, education, and service missions.
